During the original theatrical run of **Aliens** , publicity stills of Sigourney Weaver were mistaken for Michael Jackson. Strangely, publicity stills of Michael Jackson at that time were mistaken for Veronica Cartwright, who wasn’t even in that movie. ---

Lake Wobegon is an actually a community in Mist _**(sometimes spelled ‘Missed’)**_ County, MN. The reason it cannot be found on any maps today is that following the Civil War, four teams of surveyors were sent to the four corners of the state with orders to work their way in to the center of the state. Once they had completed their task, however, they found they had surveyed more of Minnesota than there was room for between Wisconsin and the Dakotas, so the corners had to be overlapped in the middle, and Lake Wobegon and Mist County ended up on the underside of one of the folds. The error and _ad hoc_ solution has been tacitly accepted and perpetuated across the decades since. _ **-“BB”-** _ ---
