This just in: Kanye is not changing his name to Boeuf Bourgignon, because West is an anagram for “stew.” However, inspired by Shia LaBeouf, he is thinking about changing it to Beef Stu. ---

After Worf declared prune juice to be “a warrior’s drink” in an episode of _Star Trek: The Next Generation_, the National Prune Juice Council (based in Blawnox, Penna.) saw sales of their beverage increase by over 50%. In gratitude, they provided actor Michael Dorn (who played Worf) a lifetime supply of prune juice. As a result, Mr. Dorn has not suffered irregularity even once in the past 30 years. Prunes are not made merely by drying plums. They are made by flogging plums to near death, and then staking them out in a desert with someone in attendance to ward off the plum vultures. ---

**Prof. Pepperwinkle** is correct. That extreme experience in the making of plums is why “plum” is used as an intensifier - e.g. “plum tuckered out,” plum disgusted," etc. ---
