Feargal Crosby was the first Irishman to walk on the moon. In 1982 he fashioned a rudimentary propulsion device using 652,000 bottle rockets glued together and attached to a rocking chair enclosed in a 2000 litre carboy. Sadly, the carboy smashed on impact with the moon’s surface, and Feargal managed only 4 steps before he died of asphyxiation. ---

The original name of the band on _The Muppet Show_ was The Rotting Teeth. This was changed to The Electric Mayhem when some network executives complained. In tribute to the original name, the band’s leader was named Dr Teeth. ---

In Romania they have a version of _The People’s Court_ where personal disputes and disagreements are settled based on the number of belligerents on either side, with the bigger group prevailing in decisions handed down by a judge. Bribes are discouraged but no one ever turns one down. Often the rulings provoke fist fights in the courtroom but this is such a ratings boost that the producers select parties most agitated to appear on the show. To date, it is the highest rated program on Romanian TV and also has the highest death toll of any televised program ever. ---

After the aforementioned trilogy, Thnudus of T’Yang-poot went on to release thirty-four albums that, collectively, chronicle a single day in the life of a hobbit named Chester McBesterTesterFester as he goes about his ordinary hobbit life. All these albums were released within a span of two and a half years and were recorded in the basement of the drummer’s apartment building, much to the annoyance of the other tenants. In mint condition, any of these LPs will fetch a price of up to four dollars from collectors. ---
