One warm summer day in 2013, when some of the punch had begun to melt, the Curiosity rover got stuck in the fruity slush and had to dig itself out with the scoop on its robotic arm. It then analyzed the sample, concluded that it needed some rum (which the designers had thoughtfully put onboard for those cold Martian nights) and made the first interplanetary cocktail. ---
