Stephen King re-released “The Stand” in 1990 adding 400 pages that were originally cut by his editor. King has another edition, which adds another 1200 pages, ready to be published after his death. ---

“Gilligan’s Island” first pilot had GILL-igan being secretly able to turn into a merman. Because he needed water to live, he botched every attempt the other people on the island made to be rescued. Tarintino ordered that idea removed. I wish they had kept that sub-plot. ---

Although baskets were used when basketball was first invented, that’s not how the game got its name. A sportswriter, on seeing players throwing a ball at an impossibly high target and then having to stop and get a ladder to retrieve it when it went in, wrote that only basket cases would play that game. Thus was born basketcase ball, later to be known in its shortened form. ---
