Iā€™m astounded that there is a debate about whether or not this incident was staged. OF COURSE IT WAS STAGED. Thatā€™s why they have dress rehearsals. Aguillera made mention of it during an exit interview after the show was over. Christ, from reading some Dopers posts, you seem to think there is some sort of grand conspiracy at work. ---

Over at Empty-V (MTV), NOTHING goes out over the air by mistake. Even the most off-the-cuff, out-of-control, ā€œimprovedā€ moments are carefully scripted and HEAVILY rehearsed. Shocking moments on MTV = writers spending hours in a writing session while eating Chinese take-out. ---
