If you need a _moderator_ for the soiree, I guess I’ll be forced to come, seeing as how I’ll be at my mom and dad’s house over the holidays. Oh, yeah. FYI, their house is in Dominion Hills, on Longfellow St., where I grew up 1947-1966. I take the kids to see grandma and grandpa over Christmas/New Years every year. I’ll bet your folks bought the house for about $30,000 and now it’s worth about $500,000. Bought new in 1947, paid cash-- $12,500. Hard to believe they go for the kind of money they do today. My dad always kicks himself for not buying the house next door at the same time, and renting it out. He had the money. ---

I want to get to Midnight by 10pm, which means that I will be leaving the restaurant to go get ready probably between 8 and 9pm. Anyone who wants to go to Midnight with Brooke and Dan and me is welcome to come, but also it’s not like the restaurant is gonna throw everyone out just because a couple of us are leaving. According to Dan (my SO who I am pretty much moving there to be with) who lives in Marietta and has lived in Atlanta his whole life, the only people who call it “May-retta” are people who grew up “on farms in Southern Georgia” and everyone from around the Atlanta area calls it “Mary-etta”. ---
