Possible slight change for me. That’s the day of the Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally in DC. Spouse and offspring are both going to ride. Which means I won’t have anything to do while they’re riding. Which means I may show up. If the weather’s crappy, they won’t ride, but maybe I can persuade them to come along. So put me down as a possible, and if I can make it, I’ll bring along something pseudo-healthy - maybe fruit or something. And I’m a carnivore. ---

No really - I woke up this morning muttering “Og SMASH”. It is clearly a sign that I need to go to a Doper gathering. Got room for one more? Not a vegetarian, and I’ll bring stuff, to be determined by what kind of mood I’m in…though I was thinkin’ S’Mores, whaddya say? Talked to the spousal unit this morning. It’ll be a beautiful day for a motorcycle ride and he’s all excited about that. I told him I’d be attending the picnic - I think he’s relieved I didn’t ask him to come along. (He’s still a little uncomfortable around the MADs) So I’ll be gathering something fruit-like to contribute to the festivities and I’ll see y’all there!. **Anna** - don’t be nervous! I’ve encountered several of those who will be in attendance and I’ve survived. No problems at all! No issues! No scars! No embarrassing mysterious tattoos the next day! Really - would I lie? Thanks all! And I have a couple of somewhat mysterious tattoos anyway, so that’s not what scares me. It’s all your scary smart brains running around all unsupervised, synapses all firing in unison. I was nervous, but I had to go since it was her birthday. I thought she was weird (or weirder than usual) for inviting a bunch of nuts from a message board. To my surprise, I liked them instantly, and found that I had a lot in common with them. Since then, my sister has married a doper, **UncleBill** , and I now consider the MADs among my best friends.
