Thank you all for the kind remarks and well-wishes. It’s been kind of a terrifying experience. I already feel like a completely different person than I was earlier this week. It’s like a frightfully accelerated version of puberty, except I can drink but cannot have sex. Ah well. I swear this kid has some sort of parasite. He wants to eat every 20-30 _minutes_, not every 2-3 hours. He is definitely my son. ---

Mine are now eleven and twelve (almost) and we are heading to the dreaded middle school. My son went to skateboard camp this summer, my daughter to horse camp, and I spent a week childless (wonderful), scared that at least one would break bones or worse (not so wonderful, both came home safe). But its worth it. So very worth it. Congrats. ---
