>
> That I was encouraging her lynch should not mean that the bandwagon is not examined. I just think that it is a fairly townie or at least neutral move to follow a trusted player in a lynch, especially in a low-information environment like Day One. Of course, scum know that and can exploit it, too…

> [@Inner\_Stickler](#):

> DB, I would disagree about the towniness of such a move. I would consider it no better than neutral pretty much regardless of which Day it happens. The appeal to scum is far too great if a townie is in the crosshairs and that’s far more likely this early in the game.
>
> I understand that dizzy’s votes weren’t particularly meaningful but to me at least they didn’t taste duplicitous. They felt like someone who didn’t have any particular leads but wanted to contribute and then be done. If dizzy were scum, I’d have expected to see more of a direction in her arguments and votes. While there are scum who can do these tossed off sort of votes in a natural feeling way, I don’t think she is one.

While it is magnanimous of Daphne to take the blame for Dizzy’s lynch, in all fairness I was the one who encouraged Daphne to vote Dizzy in the first place. It’s easy to say now that Dizzy’s votes looked like an ordinary D1 clueless townie vote and not conniving scum votes. I did question Dizzy about her vote on me and never received a response, in spite of her posting after my initial question. That’s what tipped the scale for me from D1 clueless townie to scummy.

**Vote: Chronos**

Idle’s first, and last, vote of Day 1 was for Septimus, for OMGUS reasons and because Idle thought Septimus’ vote was weak on top of that. I find it hard to believe nothing else of interest happened enough to warrant a vote from Idle. I’m not as dissuaded as you are, but maybe that’s because I’m his target.

I just didn’t find **Dizzy** scummy, if that’s what you’re talking about…hence why I didn’t have a vote on her at the end.
And if you mean why I didn’t have votes on any of the front runners at the end, I wasn’t as suspicious of anyone until toDay (after they were saved from lynching, seemingly), although I was a little more suspicious of **Texcat** yesterday than the rest, I thought **Septimus** ’ reasonings were more shady than the slip **Texcat** had apparently made.

If you were watching **Johnny** , that is condemning. If you were tracking **Chronos** , that is merely circumstantial. But I can’t see any overwhelming reason that many players would target **Johnny** , so

**vote Chronos** for targeting a townie when they died.

> [@Chronos](#):

If you are truthful, that is a good use of your power. But it’s not enough to not lynch given the current evidence.

Actually, it may not be best policy to lynch **Chronos** right now.

The best way to maximize the information gain from the lynch is if it’s in dispute (see Day One). If there’s little dispute about lynching **Chronos** , we gain no information from the lynch.

Why would we not lynch **Chronos** immediately? Because 1) we may have a pro-town killer who can do the job for us. And 2) they’re not the last scum and lynching them will not prevent a pro-scum kill.

If there’s a large consensus to lynch **Chronos** , I suggest we postpone their lynch and try to find another scum ToDay. If **Chronos** is alive on Day Three, we proceed to lynch at that point, since any hypothetical pro-town killer declined or failed to kill the obvious scum.

I’ll leave my vote on **Chronos** for now, since them are the most likely scum in my opinion.

OK, so how many votes does **Chronos** have over the contenders for the lynch at the moment?

So far I count:

**Chronos** 7
**Lightfoot** 1
**Mahaloth** 2
**Askthepizzaguy** 4
**TexCat** 2
**Astral Rejection** 4
**Pleonast** 1
**Inner Stickler** 1
**Diggit Camara** 1
**Idle Thoughts** 1

I may have missed some unvotes on my napkin count. It seems like to make the lynch contestable, we should hold off on **Chronos** votes unless people weigh in on other cases?

I agree that it would be better to let a potential vig take out **Chronos**. Note that, in this case, there is no delay in the reveal since he will still die at the end of the Day. If he doesn’t die then we will lynch him toMorrow.

**Chronos** ’ claim reads like a cover role to me. I’m not inclined to hold off the bird in hand at the moment.

I too am not surprised to find an argument against lynching him. Nor that it is from **Pleo**.

I’d (still) like to hear from **Pizza** – perhaps he has something relevant to share about Inner and we can be in the enviable position of choosing between two likely scums. Or perhaps he is just being arbitrary and Pizzalike.

I completely disagree. One in the hand is worth two in the bush, and all that. I don’t believe Chronos’ claim, and if he’s scum, he likely has a _real_ power that can be used against town. Assuming that’s true, if we delay his lynch, he can use it **twice,** as power usage is concurrent with the lynch. We currently have no evidence of a pro-town killer, and until we DO have evidence of such, I don’t believe we should be leaving anything in their theoretical hands. And, with no current counterclaim on DaphneBlack, I believe the simplest explanation is that Chronos killed Johnny Bravo. Chronos needs to die.

Worst-case scenario, if we lynch Chronos and he’s town, we’ve mislynched a vanilla townie (which wouldn’t be the first time a town lynched a vanilla on Day 2), cleared a townie that scum cannot use to hide behind, and tied their hands for the future, since they won’t want to let a confirmed townie live into the end game. Any time we can reduce the pool of unknowns, we need to do it.

I strongly believe we need to vote to lynch Chronos, _and then continue playing._ We have a mock lynch for 2nd place, and people still develop cases and cast about suspicions. It won’t have the same impact as a real lynch would have, but it’s something, and I really think Chronos needs to die.

Following **Johnny Bravo’s** death, I need to claim.

**I am Dr. John Watson, Mason.**

Here is my role PM:

> [@](#):
>
> Welcome to the game; you are Dr. John Watson

It’s going to lead you into trouble today. But come along; I know you’re brave and bold and armed with a pistol. I’m sure you’ll make both an excellent hero while you’re breathing and an ideal rallying point once you’ve stopped. GOOD LUCK!
>

>
> ## M SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE: Johnny Bravo is your wife, Mary Watson. You recognize her, and she you, as Town-aligned. Neither you nor she is subject to any kind of alignment change or recruitment. I do not know Mrs. Watson’s identity, in spite of the color conceit that I am writing this role PM; aren’t meta-game confusions delightful?
>
> CLUE: (redacted)

There were only 2 of us, so I have to claim toDay.

Note the specific statement that we are not subject to any kind of alignment change or recruitment. So I believe it is likely that there is some form of recruitment in this game.

I do think **Chronos** is scum, but but a runaway lynch toDay doesn’t tell us anything. Yes, we can still have a mock lynch for second place, but that doesn’t have nearly the same impact or accountability as a real lynch.

I don’t know if we have a vig. I don’t know if we have a role blocker. But we only need one of those to neutralise Chronos.

I am still in favour of letting him be for toDay.

Ok, I think we should lynch \*\*Chronos \*\*today and I think we should have no other votes for anyone else. Theoretically this would make for a lost day, but any day with a dead scum is a good day for town. This is my clue:

I am afraid that **M**. will not only manipulate the vote if he can, I think \*\*Chronos \*\*might be M. given this tidbit in his claim:

We may not learn a lot from Today’s voting record, but we will learn for sure whether Chronos is scum or not, and be able to better evaluate his voting record and posts Tomorrow. I think it’s much better to kill a scum, as I am pretty sure that Chronos is, than to shoot in the dark and kill another townie.
