Point taken. I think it’s bullshit though. How can someone vote for, then subsequently unvote, themselves and avoid scrutiny? I vote no lynch - with good reason - and I’m suddenly the leader in votes ( or nearly the leader. Anyone got a vote count?).
I didn’t say “avoid scrutiny” so don’t put words in my mouth. I said “avoid Modkill.” Not the same at all.

I’m still looking for a good vote. Your claim buys you a little time.

[Pleo’s Official Vote Count](http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dwp82xq_38f7xdckdn) is kept with the player list. It looks like it’s up to post 835. Or there’s Hal’s (check his sig).

DB : Dunno. He and cckerberos are the two that might be Modkilled.

Oh, and FTR, I still think **Zsofia** vote for me was scummy and I find **Hal** ’s vote scummy too. Except his is more of a come to **Zsofia** rescue kinda scummy.

And, how is it that **Roosh** can come in and RANDOMLY put a vote down. No reason behind it whatsoever and get less scrutiny than me and my no lynch vote got?

Next time a get a role that it would behoove me to lay low for the first Day or so, I’m gonna say I’m going on vaction too - vaction to some magical land without internet access.
**MHaye** , I never said that _you_ said that kind of thing avoids scrutiny. I was commenting on how the game has been played out.

Buys me a little time, huh? Nice smudge there. You can apologize when Pleo’s first role reveal matches what I’m going to say in a little less than 4 hrs.

Hi guys, I have been busy with interviews and job applications, and dealing with a round of depression.

**Vote Santo Rugger**
Pollux Oil’s late “vote for the lurker” move seems sketchy to me, like he might have something to hide, and doesn’t want his vote to incriminating himself. But Santo Rugger is just following along. Santo Rugger is likely part of a scum-faction, and not on the same team as Pollux Oil.

What I would like is an answer from \*\*pedescribe \*\* for those questions and also why he did not answer them first time around.

If they are that simple to explain - where was the explanation?

Oh, I really think the idea of voting for someone who is going to be modkilled is wrong. I would personally prefer the opportunity to have several scum taken out on Day 1, then limit ourselves.

As has been explained earlier, you’re not a lurker, you’re a flaker. The difference is that up until now, I, and presumably others, figured you weren’t going to come in to place a vote, and would rather have one death today than a lynch and one or more modkills. Coming in a few hours before the end of the day and placing a vote for somebody who’s “just following along”, you know,\* like we’re supposed to be\*, is illogical at best.

I’m inclined to believe CIAS’ role (to a point, I still want verification of course). I’m a bit surprised by the aggressiveness of the playstyle considering you’re an important power role, but as I’ve said, I find the aggressiveness and emphatic support for unpopular and resisted ideas to be likely townie. Disappointing to out you so early, if it’s true.

Regarding brewha: yes, I think it’s crap to vote No Lynch, but, come on, people. After Cookies criticized him, all of a sudden Pollux Oil does too, and then he gets votes from Zsofia, Redwing and Hal Briston, now in short order, with no mention of the other lurkers (or Darth Sensitive, with a self-vote)? I know we all want to get votes in ASAP but do we honestly think brewha’s the best candidate?

I’ve been watching **NaturalBlondChap** a bit today and decided to go back through posts. Going back as far as 6-19, he’s posted very little. And, of what little there is, there is even less substance - pretty much just repeating others or requesting more information. Granted, he is new, but it seems to me that he is intentionally being very low on the radar. He posted on 6/19 once:

Then, nothing until yesterday, where there has been a flurry of little posts:

et al (all on the same page) in response to a vote for him. He becomes very defensive when receiving that vote and all of a sudden posts a lot, but still of little substance. Further his whole contribution to strategy seems to be echoing ‘lynch lurkers’ - strong stuff for someone who didn’t post for five days, and has posted so little of real consequence regardless.

I don’t necessarily agree with Hockey Monkey’s vote on him because of being in favor of a mod-kill but I do think he’s intentionally lying low. No smoking gun but I think he’s a better target than the others put forward.

**vote NaturalBlondChap**

Well, we’ve heard from him, but I’d like you to explain to me why we should have voted for him if we didn’t? Letting someone die to mod-kill doesn’t reduce the town’s information, voting for someone who is going die to mod-kill seems like a nice place to put a vote without much accountability.

> [@CatInASuit](#):
>
> In that case what were you thoughts about the sizes of the other groups given that the number of players is much larger in this game?

Well, I think that there are 5-6 wolves, more than one vampire and one necromancer (though I’ve never really thought about more than one).

I’ve said these things before, but I’m not going to dig up the posts.

Sorry I missed those other two questions. I was a bit frantic when I was defending myself, and I never caught my error.

Anyway, you ask:

> [@CatInASuit](#):
>
> #152You say what you think the town should do to slow and stop the undead and wolves without mentioning what you are going to do about the Cabal?
>
> So, what are you going to do to the Cabal?

Well, I’m much more afraid of the vamipres than the cabal _becuase they can nightkill_. I’m more afraid of the wovles than the cabal because they can nightkill too (although there’s not that one wolf/one nightkill ratio that the vampires have).
Because of that, I thought it more important to talk about how to deal with the vampires and wolves first.

As fore what to do with the cabal…I’m thinking our first strategy should be “keep the witches alive”. If we do that, and a single cabal member (assuming three, which I am) is crossfire-killed, then they’re effectivley out of the picture. However, since it’s likely that a witch will die, and it’s possible that there are more cabal, I have a backup plan. We wait.

Since the cabal need all the other scum to die before they can win, and they can’t kill themselves, we might as well kill the vamps, nec, and most of the wolves (who just need lower other numbers, period) first. Then we can take out the cabal, many of which probably already have been crossfire-killed.

Also, this:

> [@CatInASuit](#):
>
> #185You seem almost certain that the Witches are in the game because otherwise the Cabal becomes too powerful.
>
> Contrast this with you earlier thoughts about the Cabal being the weak faction though. Is it just the absence of the Witches that makes the Cabal so powerful or is it that you know the Witches must exist?

Here, I was specifically referring to Diomedes’ thoughts that there couldn’t be a seer _and_ witches in the game, as it would make town too powerful. I was simply saying that it would make the cabal too powerful without witches. Think about it: without witches, all the cabal has to do is survive. While we’re (justifiably) targeting other scum, a single cabalist simply has to go under the radar until the endgame, and since his night powers are near-negligable, and since he knows so few other people, he’s practically a townie by day. Without witches, this game would be unbalanced.

At this point, none of the candidates are appealing: brewha’s a claimed coroner, a verifiable role, Nanook (who still has two votes) is a claimed witch, Oredigger is using the same logic that I was, and I know I’m town, and I know I’m town, so I don’t want to vote for me, and I just stopped being suspicious of pollux oil, there’s nothing to rebulild the case on.

So I’m going to plunge into the unknown and
**Vote cckerberos**

And just so Cat doesn’t jump all over me again: Yes, it’s more self-preservation than anything. No, that’s a null tell. On the other hand, what has cc done to prove he’s town?

<div class="post-metadata">

</div>

Having read over the rationales for all the votes cast for the leading lynching candidates, I can’t say that I’m particularly compelled by any of them. I’m obviously not the only one having this problem (there’s, what, 10 other people who haven’t voted yet?) In any case, though, I have to cast a vote so:

**vote Hawkeyeop**

I really don’t like the vote for yourself then immediately withdraw the vote just so you don’t get modkilled thing, and I believe he was the first one to do it.

I do find the “vote for the guy getting modkilled” thing to be a little suspicious for the reason given by **RedWing** , but not enough by itself to warrant a vote.

**Unvote brewha.**

I agree that you should share any (alleged) information as soon as you get it, for two reasons. As was already mentioned, it allows us to constrain the scum as much as we can (which isn’t much) vs letting them run unbridled between Dusk 1 and Pleo’s reveal. It also constrains you, an unproven, from somehow being able to scummily guess the alignment correctly, perhaps by analyzing the dead’s posts well…to death. 😃

Now we all just have to figure out who the stiffs gonna be, which is not going to be fun.
