I think everyone claiming, as soon as possible, is a net positive. That might not directly help us Today since **bufftabby** is probably getting lynched, but I think it will help us Tomorrow, and help Town win. We have Days to go. Why should we hold off on hunting scum because Today is decided? Scum have plenty of targets… I don’t think additional town claims helps them. At this point I’m not worried about giving more information to scum. They have plenty. Should we hold off on the Patsy and the Zoning Inspector claim until Tomorrow? If **bufftabby** claims Patsy or Zoning Inspector at the last minute, what should we do? Do you think the Patsy should wait until Tomorrow to claim? I can understand that stance, but it goes against the utility of a mass claim. It gives scum more time to deal with it. This hasn’t been the most successful mass claim, though. Those who haven’t claimed, though, should be viewed with more suspicion. I’d bet that most of the scum haven’t even claimed vanilla. Narrows down the pool a lot. ---

I expect more vanilla town claims to commence, at some point. I was originally looking at the group (of which I am one) that was put on notice re low participation, with the theory that vanilla townies are more likely to drift away, at least somewhat. The reason I suspect this is because I believe all of our modkills have been vanilla town (please correct me if I am wrong) - and I think Meeko ranted early on that being vanilla town in a game with so many people, and so much power, resulted in a sort of depressed interest in the game. I know that it has been hard for me at times to stay engaged. Of those four, I and plumpudding have claimed vanilla town, and sinjin has claimed cultist. That leaves…zeriel. ---

But if my theory were to hold water…it would mean that I, plumpudding, and zeriel are all vanilla town. Sinjin gets a pass for being essentially vanilla cultist. It would have to be Johnny Bravo, who has claimed vanilla town yet remains exceptionally active. Two of the “on notice” individuals have also claimed VT. ---
