My username: I had a rescue cat named Rufus Ruffus Buffus Johnson Brown with Feline Leukemia (that I got right before signing up for the Dope), so I knew he wasn’t especially long for the world. After his first vet trip, I noticed that his coloring was marked as “buff tabby”, and I liked that phrase quite a bit. I thought it would be nice to have something to remember him by, and it was and is. He made it another 1.5-2 years after the diagnosis, and now lives in a box in my bedroom, alongside the dog (he was really the dog’s cat anyway) and my soulmate cat, both of whom I lost in 2015. 2015 was a pretty bad year for me, so I said “screw it!” and started a whole new life in the beginning of 2016. My long absence from Mafia was due to things being pretty rough in general, so it’s been nice to be able breathe again (metaphorically), and I have a sweet kitty friend who joined me about 6 months ago. So, long story short: Nights are my weekend (Sunday/Monday), so forgive me if I’m not around at Night much. I’m still just thrilled to have a job that gives me days off, and I tend to try to go out and make the best of them. ---

That night, the customer filled out a survey, giving me a "1” rating out of five. It was my first and only "1“ rating ever. This against seven "5” ratings I had earned in the past two weeks. . My bosses’ bosses’ boss was alerted to the fact that the department got a "1“ at 4:30 am the next day. . I clocked in for my shift at 11. Was immediately sent to what was to be my firing. . **No other disciplinary issues, write ups or coaching.** In fact, I point blank asked “1 and done?!” … And it was confirmed as a yes. . . . . **How do I reconcile this with my Resume?** ---

I thought he was onto something that he had trouble articulating in a way the rest of us could understand. Keeping in mind that unless that was bussing (I agree with you it wasn’t) Pleo didn’t know Thing Fish was scum. I have never seen scum make a case that is total gibberish on someone and then stick to their guns like that when people didn’t jump on it. Maybe they do. Maybe I’ll even try it next time I’m scum. But I genuinely think Pleo was onto something. I actually don’t think his “case” on me is total gibberish either. I can see why someone who doesn’t know me jumped to that conclusion. The part of it I’m having trouble understanding is that Crys claimed LUTHA investigator. I don’t see why he thinks I am the investigator now. Also Crys claimed LUTHA and I was loudly demanding her execution until someone pointed out the math to me. That doesn’t make any sense for an actual LUTHA to do. I bus as scum because that’s how you best win as scum. Bussing doesn’t work for a third party survival cult. I agree with you re Thing Fish. I had him at highly town and I do think he was genuinely trying to scum hunt. I think Pleo is doing the same thing, though. I agree with you re bussing in this game in general too. There is no way they could let you go on one incident like that. Even without a union, have you talked to anyone about the illegitimate nature of your firing/dismissal? In terms of resume, you have to include the job, but you could request they not contact previous employers or make sure that the only reference available is someone who will support you. ---

Our new cat is named Jinx (unless our other cat, Torterra, opened the door, which is a distinct possibility- I’m kind of scared to go home.) He’s currently hiding under the bed on my daughter’s bedroom. He’s also a rescue and he’s replacing Jupiter, whose death broke my heart. Re third party, it’s just a vibe. I don’t think you’re scummy but I also don’t think you’re hard investigating yet. That may be due to the size of the game, but right now it’s coming across as survivorish to me.
