Gahh…like I need _more_ temptation to peek into the forbidden thread. Too bad we don’t have the ability to set things up like over on the _Hispaniola_. While it’s nice knowing that living players can’t peek in, it’s nicer not seeing the posting list. I had the previous night here spoiled when I came into MPSIMS, scanned the thread list, and saw that **Millit** was the most recent poster to the forbidden thread. Yes, I would’ve found out 30 seconds later anyway, but I like the suspense of **Gad** ’s death posts. ---

With tempers and hard feelings apparently flying around, perhaps I can help offer some (admittedly melancholy) perspective. My friend/developer has had no improvement as of Friday night. ☹ He’s on a respirator because he can’t breath on his own, but he is conscious and still able to communicate with his family and doctors by blinking and moving his eyes. I don’t know when they will finally decide to do some imaging/tests to narrow down what is going on with his brain/spine, but I do know that they have been afraid that such procedures were too risky to perform as of Friday. Young (25 or so), brilliant, talented, and so much life ahead of him. Truly fscked up. He also happens to be one of the few people I’ve explained this game to, aside from the wifey. So if y’all will humor me, take a moment to enjoy the opportunities we have to know each other and stretch our brains in this game, and in the greater game of life. ---

My wife has recently become hooked on the various emergency room shows on Discovery Health. After watching a couple dozen of these lately, I’m becoming convinced that all accident/hospitalization stories have happy endings. I know that’s not reality, but I certainly hope it works out that way for your friend, **Cookies**. ---

Ok this really fracking sucks. **nesta** , you have multiple strikes against you in my book. First and foremost, lack of posting, quickly followed by recently voting against me. If you don’t start talking and doing some damage-control soon, I’m going to have to throw a vote your way. **Hal’s** consistent views on \*\*Diggit]/b] lead me to obvious conclusion that **Diggit** is the other Mason, but as to whether or not he was recruited, I have virtually no read. I don’t want to make any excuses, but life has a way of becoming a real clusterfuck at the worst times. \I really hope that things go well for your friend/developer. I wasn’t sure about **tirial** being scum, not because of her posts (which did seem scummy to me), but due to the likelihood of the recruitment happening on the last no-kill night. Of course, I neglected to factor in that the kill might have been blocked that night because I had subconsciously been assuming that **tirial** had been self-protecting for quite a while. I still don’t know what to make of this, especially now that **tirial** has been confirmed not-recruited. If the recruitment happened on the last no-kill night I didn’t think they would have recruited **tirial** , which left you, **Diggit** , and **Hal**. When I voted I thought you were the most likely recruit, but started to doubt this when no one else agreed. Now I’m not sure. All I know is that it’s you or **Diggit**. I’m a regular, vanilla townie. There, I said it. It feels good to get that out in the open. I kicked myself yesterday after I posted my suspicion list in order because I was afraid I had outed the masons by confirming I wasn’t one. Maybe I did, and maybe it actually made a difference… if so I’m sorry **Hal**. I really tried not to make it obvious I wasn’t a mason to keep the recruit (if not a mason) guessing. I’m vanilla town. I’ve inadvertantly outed myself as such on so many occasions, I can’t even count them, so I’d be highly surpised if that is a surprise to anyone. So surprised that I didn’t even think to role-claim in my last post. Of course some (if not all) of those sloppy moments (including not role-claiming earlier today) are likely to be seen as (or twisted into) crafty scum manipulations, but sadly they were just vanilla sloppiness. As strong as my words were against you earlier today, **nesta** , I can’t help but give you the benefit of the doubt that life has come around to bite you on the butt lately. I don’t believe that you would play the endgame by trying to hide your recruitment in real life distractions from the game. It just sounds weird to even type that out loud, since we all know that the game exists to provide an entertaining distraction from our daily lives. I also just can’t swallow **Diggit’s** response to my tying vote at face value. The only way I can swallow it is by assuming that he was using it as an opportunity to try and win my trust and come off as pro-town. It was just laid on a bit too thick. **Vote Diggit** for the umpteenth time. ---

Let’s suppose, for a minute, I was recruited. 1. The last “original scum” ( **Blaster Master** ) died. Night fell. At the time there was one hybrid (me), two pure masons ( **Hal** and **Millit** ), **tirial** , **nesta** and you 2. I could have let \*\*Millit \*\*live and kill… anyone but **tirial** , leaving one hybrid (me), two pure masons ( **Hal** and **Millit** ) against \*\*tirial \*\*and another townie, giving masons a majority of votes … you can take it from there. I would have won in any conceivable scenario from then on. Let’s look at this Night: 1. One hybrid (me), one “pure mason” ( **Hal** ), you and **nesta** 2. I kill… anyone but **Hal** leaving one hybrid (me), one “pure mason” ( **Hal** ) and a pure majority for masons. Again, at night there would be two masons left. And I would win (I win both if masons win and if scum win) … I assure you, I’m not dumb enough to jeopardize a guaranteed win. Twice. ---

[/QUOTE] Thus far: neither. Like I said yesterday (when **Hal** asked), I couldn’t see either of you acting like you did if you had been recruited. I must be wrong, of course. But I honestly have no idea who was recruited. By now I think the recruitment night was recent, so your description of “the kind of recently recruited scum who never asked to be recruited” seems about right. Which makes finding him/her even more difficult than before. Even more difficult is the fact that the new recruit never had a chance to discuss strategy with the rest of the scum and might strike out in a new and uncharted direction. I know I wasn’t recruited and I know I am a mason. If I had been recruited, I would definitely not have killed **Millit** , and **Hal** even less. ---
