Who else should the doc have protected? I think you wanted him to protect someone else so that you could get a shot in and have him killed. I also think that you know that **Precam** couldn’t be the Vig/SK because you are. ---

I mean, yeah, if we still had our bodyguard, I’d expect **septimus** would be able to be a bit bolder in his actions. But we don’t, alas. It’s just a darn shame to have a doctor who’s now in the position of self-protecting or dying. c) See a. But anyway, by all means, go over my posts, guys. I’ve got nothing to hide. _The scene: a large courtroom with marble floors, wood paneling, and a weary-looking judge. The jury box is filled with an odd assortment of jurors. The courtroom is packed with an audience and reporters, everyone staring right at the witness box, including the DISTRICT ATTORNEY, an attractive but somewhat overzealous woman with shifty, not entirely trustworthy eyes._ DISTRICT ATTORNEY: \*\* Miss Choie\*\*, did you or did you not try and get the doc to protect someone else at Night? \*The DEFENDANT, a lovely brunette who looks far younger than her 40something years, sits in the witness box. Throughout her testimony she’ll never even raise her voice, despite the increasingly shrill accusations from the DA. She wears a form-fitting suit and skirt, a little cloche hat, and white gloves, as is proper for this nebulously noir film taking place circa 1940 - 1955: \* DEFENDANT: No, ma’am. I did not. I was irked because he’s now unable to protect anyone but himself, but I _certainly_ didn’t ask him to protect anyone else once he came out of the closet, so to speak. What kind of a sap do you think I am? DA: Did you or did you not say that you don’t think **Precam** was the SK/Vig? DEFENDANT (_raising one exquisitely arched eyebrow_): I don’t recall saying that he definitely wasn’t the SK. I did say I don’t think he’s the Vig, because I’m 95% sure we don’t have a Vig. Or if we do, we have a singularly ineffective one. This is hardly a unique opinion. Everyone, let’s raise our hands who thinks we have a vig? _A few hands are raised in the courtroom, but the judge bangs his gavel and warns the DEFENDANT not to address the public or solicit audience interaction._ DEFENDANT (_sweetly_): I’m sorry, your honor. Anyway, I have another reason for not thinking **precambrianmollusc** is the SK, and that’s because I have a suspicion about who _is_ the SK. And that person is– DA (_who almost lurches toward the witness box while interrupting_): Who else should the doc have protected? I think you wanted him to protect someone else so that you could get a shot in and have him killed! DEFENSE ATTORNEY _(slamming his hand on the table and leaping to his feet)_: Objection! Badgering the witness! She won’t even let Miss Choie answer her questions! \*(The jurors and audience in the courtroom gasp audibly as the defendant in the witness box flushes slightly, the judge bangs his gavel, and both defense and prosecuting attorneys begin to argue. The cacophony is overwhelmed by the lone voice of the defendant, clutching the edge of the witness box.) \* DEFENDANT: No, she’s right! I did it, I did it all!.. (_Defendant sits back in her chair, smiling serenely at the red-faced prosecutor._) …That’s what you’d _like_ me to say, wouldn’t you? Except… I shan’t. I never _said_ the doc should protect anyone else _now that he’s out in the open_, as vulnerable as a newborn kitten with a stethoscope. DA (_clearly hoping to change the subject_): I also think that you know that **Precam** couldn’t be the Vig/SK because you are. DEFENDANT: You’re repeating yourself, Madam District Attorney. I heard you the first time. But frankly, I think _you know_ I’m neither the non-existant Vig nor the SK. Though I do have my suspicions about just who _is_ the SK. (_Eyes the DA with something akin to sympathy._) It’s not you, though. My guess is you’re plain ol’ vanilla scum. (_Audience and jurors again start to murmur in the courtroom. Judge bangs gavel again in frustration, demands silence lest he clear the court, yadda yadda._) JUDGE: May I ask the defendant one question? Who are you saying _is_ the serial killer, then? \*DEFENDANT casts her eyes around the courtroom, her shining brown gaze finally alighting on one shadowy figure sitting in the back of the room. Their eyes meet… each clearly knows they are enemies, and though no word is uttered, much is said in that single glance. DEFENDANT returns to look ahead, still calm and cool as a cuke in a freezer.\* DEFENDANT: Get me into a witness protection program… and then I’ll sing like a canary. Until then, you’ll get nothing further. _Chaos erupts. The audience in the courtroom can no longer remain silent. Reporters dash out to call in their stories; the judge doesn’t even bother trying to maintain order. Throughout, our beautiful, clearly innocent defendant sits back, unafraid, proud, and ready to accept whatever the jury–and especially any corrupt prosecutors–plans on throwing at her._ ---

I don’t find him particularly scummy, and I think that some of his play decisions (voting abstain, voting a doc etc) have made it way too easy to throw a vote down on him that won’t be questioned. And there are in fact plenty of hours left in the day from my point of view - if you’re expecting me to keep track of people’s timezones on top of everything else you can feck off 😛 ---

Ho hum. The claim from Silver is throwing me a bit. I’d prefer to unvote a claimed town power, but that’s just going to create another tie, between choie and Jan. Choie has been coming across to me as town. (Although I’m really not loving her “anyone who votes me is scum. And if I get lynched, anyone I suspected is scum” schtick at the moment). Silver Jan has been pinging me a bit all game, but the difference in playstyle could be down to being a power role instead of vanilla. I’m torn. One the one hand, lynching Jan could give more information - if she flips town, then we can take her roleblocking choie as confirmed and work from that. On the other hand, lynching a town power is pretty stupid play. If we still had a cop, this would be a lot easier ☹ ---

About to go into work, so not much time. I don’t know what to think about silvers role claim, specially since she refuses to post her pm. Also, if she really did block choie why didn’t she say anything when the day started and there was only one death? I’m keeping my vote where it is for now. ---

[/QUOTE] Notice that in my claim, **Trepa** actually knows how to use commas correctly. 🙂 I’ve laid breadcrumbs in my posts and my voting has reflected what I’ve learned. Unlike **Silver Jan** , I didn’t pick randomly. If you look at the questions I asked (particularly about when power roles are supposed to use their powers) and people I’ve accused, and _how_ I’ve accused them, you’ll see a method to my madness. Night 1 - no block. I could lie here, and believe me, I’d rather, but truth is, I was an idiot and thought that **Trepa** was supposed to PM me asking for Night actions. (I’ve never played a power role before.) If you go back to some of my posts that Night, you’ll find me asking a lot of questions about power roles and how they work. I was hopping mad at myself when Dawn arrived and I realized I’d fucked up and wasted a block. I even sent a rather emotional PM to **Trepa** , but then realized it was my responsibility to learn how power roles work, so apologized for getting snippy with him. (If you want I can post that exchange, though I understand there’s no reason you wouldn’t think I edited it in.) Night 2 - I blocked **Guiri**. He was one of the other voters on **Inner Stickler**. Indeed, I planned on going through all the **Inner** voters (sans myself) because I was certain one of 'em was nefarious. No result, of course. After that, where I’d previously been suspecting **Guiri** , you’ll notice posts where I state that **Guiri** now “felt” trustworthy. Night 3 - well, I hate answering this because it harms my intended Night action. Then again, I’ve nothing left to lose and maybe this will be of use. Plus, going through my votes and the breadcrumbs within, you’d be able to figure out whom I distrust the most, particularly once Day 4 began. On Night 3 I continued down my **Inner Stickler** -voters list and blocked **Scathach**. There was no second Night Kill. Now, I wasn’t so cocksure that I thought this _automatically_ meant that my block prevented the Night Kill action performed by **Scathach**. It could’ve been a number of different factors, such as **septimus** blocking himself, or maybe the SK wasn’t able to kill every Night, whatever. Hence my not saying anything right away because I wanted to wait until toNight to block **Scathach** a second time to confirm whether my block had affected anything. However. Unlike **Silver Jan** , I _did_ act on my results. I put my vote on **Scathach** relatively early and stayed there until it became time to help Town break a tie. Both **Silver Jan** and **fubbles** seemed like legitimate candidates for the noose, so I thought I could wait another Night (again, to confirm my suspicions about **Scathach** before making a case against her using my knowledge. Also, unlike **Silver Jan** , who if she’s any kind of blocker is probably a scum roleblocker (unless **Trepa** gave us two roleblockers, which seems crazy overweighing the Town side), I had a method better than “Screw him, he voted for me!” and “Oh dear, he has a slightly different playstyle” to pick my blocks. I’ve said all along that the vote on **Inner Stickler** must contain some scum, and though at first I thought it was **Svejk** (who was almost gonna be my Night 3 block but I decided rather arbitrarily to go alphabetically), it turns out more likely that **Scathach** was the guilty needle in the haystack. (I’m still saying just _more likely_ because there _is_ still some doubt in my mind about whether my block was the reason we had no Night Kill on Night 3. Notice that, again, unlike **Silver Jan** , I’m not nearly as confident that my action deserved the credit for the lack of the second NK.) Anyway, there’s my claim. I can go back and pick out the posts where I breadcrumbed, but right now there’s not enough time before Dusk. As I’ve said earlier in the Day: if you _do_ lynch me or if I’m NKed, please look at **Scathach** , because I’m fairly certain she’s third party SK. ---

There was no second NK on N3 because I had blocked YOU **choie** , if you are who you say you are then Scathachs kill would have gone through. Even if, as you say, you thought Scathach was an SK, why vote for me. Well done on your new story line, I admit it, you are good with words. ---

I do note that **Fubbles** ’s claim has a completely different style - none of the florid prose that we see in other PMs, and that I see in my own. I guess **choie** ’s right about the comma’s; I also note that in **choie** ’s PM the powers are numbered 1., as they are in **Fubbles** ’s. Curious. More discerning people with a BA in lit may want to go through these writings; I can’t really figure out what’s what. I have thought that things that \*\*choie \*\*did were indications that she might have a power-role, but of course scum could give such hints just as easily. Still, the claim by Silver Jan does strike me more as desperate attempts to get people to unvote in hopes that people won’t have time to go over her posting history to figure things out.
