It’s about time, I’d say. Former [Magdalene Asylum](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/2590/did-the-catholic-church-in-ireland-imprison-wayward-girls) prisoners have [demanded an apology](http://www.cnn.com/video/?hpt=hp_c3#/video/world/2013/02/18/shubert-ire-magdalene-survivors.cnn) from the state.

Gaarr, why does it have to be a video? Anyway they deserve much more than an apology but I’m not sure they’ll get it.
