Never really watched the A-Team, but if the “'n stuff” includes guns, then the A-Team wins (for those that haven’t seen MacGuyver enough, he won’t use guns because of an accident that happend to him in his younger days). Otherwise, I’m going to say ole Angus MacG wins because…well…um…Richard Dean Anderson aged alot better than Mr. T…yeah.

Not necessarily. I think that between the A-Team and the bad guys, somewhere between five thousand and ten thousand rounds were fired per show, and I can’t think of anyone, good or bad, who ever got killed. :dubious:

Well, the A-Team can _shoot_ guns but they can’t hit anything (well, except jeep engines and helicopter rotors and other machinery weak spots) so that’s not much in the advantage department.

MacGyver gets stuck in the A-Team’s trap while, simultaneously, the A-Team gets stuck in MacGyver’s trap, leaving the ancillary characters from both shows – MacGyver’s portly friend from the Phoenix Foundation versus either of the cute reporters who tagged along with the A-Team – to duke it out for supremacy.

How on Earth can you expect a rational person to vote against the force of nature that is Mr. T.
I mean, the guy pitys foos. How cool is that? He has that badass gold jewelry and mohawk. What does MacGyver have? Duct Tape and a swiss army knife.

Mr. T can rattle his own chains and work his schtick pretty reliably, but all he can actually build is armoured cars (and trucks, and I think there was a boat once, and probably toboggans for that matter). He can’t do much else. On the other hand, MacGyver can build anything ouy of nothing. In an episode I saw the other day, he took two silver candlesticks and a microphone cord to make a defibrillator and save his buddy’s life. How cool is _that_?

Another time he used a blood pressure monitor and an ordinary household alarm clock to make a lie detector that had a success rate way above any lie detector in existence today. How cool is _that_?

All someone has to do is put some sleepy medication in a cup of milk to take out B.A. Barracus. That’s pretty sad.
McGuyver usually excels in situations where there is little time to plan, and resources are non-existent. The A-Team always seems to have both time and equipment to work with. I think McGuyver could build a battleship in Nebraska with access to proper equipment - the A-Team wouldn’t be able to hit it with David Koresh’s arsenal and unlimited ammo.

As much as I used to like the A-Team, I’m going to have to go with McGyver. Shit, the man once stopped a nuclear meltdown with a chocolate bar. A chocolate bar!
Plus, Patty and Selma like him.
So, McGyver on points, but nobody gets hurt.

Yea, McGyver wins, but it’s not really a fair fight. See, as stated previously, Mr. T pities foo’s. And McGyver most certainly is not going to act the foo around Mr. T.
Now, if you could work in some bizaare plot twist where McGyver is forced to act the foo (say, his sainted aunt is held by terrorists who are trying to eliminate the A-Team), then Mr. T and the A-Team will win. After which McGyver and the A-Team will join forces to defeat the terrorists!

I think the real question is does MacGuyver get help from just the SGC, or do the rebel jaffa, Tokra, and maybe the Asgard pitch in to help?
