So I’m cleaning out my closets, and I happen across a few magic books. I haven’t used them in quite a few years, and while I usually donate old books to my local library, these are special-interest stuff. And, as ever when pondering life’s little questions, my fellow Dopers come to mind. _Yeah, I bet those weirdos will take these off my hands._ So here’s the deal. I want these books to go to a good home. They’re free, but I will ask you to reimburse me for postage if you want one. You tell me which ones you want, I’ll mail 'em out, and then you send me a check later after you get the book. (The postage charges won’t be high enough to worry about who pays when, so I’ll just send 'em.) Here’s what I have: [ul] _Magic Menu - The First Five Years_ by Jim Sisti. Close-up tricks for restaurant workers, but a lot of good general stuff. Large hardback. _The Magic of Michael Ammar_ by Michael Ammar - close up tricks and essays on performing. Large hardback. _Practical Mental Magic_ by Theodore Annemann. Mentalism routines. Paperback. _Fifty Best Conjuring Tricks_ by Charles Crayford. Older book (I’m guessing 1950’s - no date). Paperback. _Modern Coin Magic_ by J.B. Bobo. Book of sleights and tricks. (Intermediate to advanced.) Paperback. _Close-up Variety Pack_ by Mike Powers. Pamphlet of 14 tricks. (Slight water damage.) _Magic With Cards_ by Garcia and Schindler. Hardback. _Dunninger’s Encyclopedia of Magic_ by Dunninger. Old book, excellent for fooling magicians who only learned the current stuff. Large hardback. _Carney Knowledge_ by John Carney. Pamphlet. _Self Working Table Magic_ by Karl Fulves. Paperback. _Scarne on Card Tricks_ by John Scarne. Paperback. _Encylcopedia of Card Tricks_ by Jean Hugard. Paperback. _Darwin’s Close Up Miracles_ by Gary Darwin. Routines using TT - set of three pamphlets. _100 Magic Tricks_ by Ian Adair. Well illustrated - excellent beginner’s book. Small hardback. _Handkercheif Magic_ by Jean Hugard. Pamphlet. _Counts Cuts Moves and Subtlety_ by Jerry Mentzer. Card sleights. Paperback. _The Usborne Complete Book of Magic and Magic Tricks_. Another very good beginners book, with excellent illustrations. Paperback. _More Card Manipulations_ by Jean Hugard. Advanced card sleights. Paperback. _Mark Wilson’s Complete Course in Magic_. Good all-around book for beginners. Large hardback. [/ul] I don’t care if you take one, two, or all of them. Just help get these out of my house! ps - You should see the stuff I’m keeping. Heh. ---
