How long does it take to deliver a package, for crying out loud? I sent it May 29. Three _freaking_ weeks ago I sent that package. I know there’s an ocean between here and there, but y’all have airplanes, don’t you? For comparison, the envelope going the other way took seven _days_. I don’t get it. Oh, well. I guess I’m getting angry on somebody else’s behalf, which isn’t really healthy, but I’m just really annoyed that I paid for something that was billed as 7-10 days and we’re now up to business day 15. Feh. ---

Well, just to close the book on this little rant, I am told the package arrived today. Four and a half weeks later. Sub-_par avion_, if you ask me. ---

Wow, I sent a largish box to England, via USPS and it arrived in four days. I sent a card and it arrived in three days. Three days. I can’t get anything here (Northwest) to the east coast in less than a week. ---

Uhem. Don’t you have to pay extra for a package to go via air across the ocean. I believe 3~5 weeks is about par for stuff sent on ships. ---

Tell me something, was this a birthday, anniversary or other present? Vital medication? If not, then I would chill out. There are bigger, much, much more important things to get even slightly miffed/upset about. ---

But the magnitude of this package’s importance has completely eluded you. This was a package that took me the better part of six months to prepare. This package contained life, death, betrayal, and M&Ms. The package contained [The Tapes](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=97411). 🙂 The news gets better, though. I hear from **Montfort** today that everything is fine within the package.
