Why can’t I get Mozilla’s email client to recognize my IMAP account like Netscape does?

Mozilla 1 doesn’t support IMAP mail, but 1.1 does. As a matter of fact, 1.1 upon startup automatically found all of my user profiles from Netscape 6.2 and seamlessly imported bookmarks, email accounts and their settings, and even security preferences - all without prompting. Pretty slick I must say.

But when I try to get new messages on the IMAP account, all I get is a “server not found” error even though the server name, username and port settings are identical.

Ideas anyone?

Maybe the server was down? Just a thought.
