Anyone know of software to do a “mail merge” using the Adress Book as the source and Mail.app as the destination, on the Mac? Pages will do a mail merge from the Address Book, but I want to create about twenty emails rather than letters.

Here’s a shareware program for $10 that says it can do this:

I have no personal experience with this program…just pointing you to it.

I’ll try it out. My search hadn’t turned it up, and the ones I did find either incorporated their own mail senders and were full-fledged bulk emailer programs, which I did not need, or were hobbyware that had not been updated in four years.

Filemaker (and probably Bento) can do this.

You could also do this with Applescript, but it’s probably worth the $10 to just buy a solution…

Okay, it sort of worked. Set up a template, it made the merge and let me check the output… but it never attached the attachment I selected. Now I’m going to have to resend by hand.

On the other hand, that won’t take as long because I can just resend the sent messages. But still…
