According to Kevin Smith and Ralph Garmin on their Hollywood Babble-on podcast, you can see Anne Heche’s butthole very briefly in the \*Psycho \*remake from 1998. I have not seen the movie myself. ---

From the original **Psycho** , Janet Leigh told her own story of this same fundimental issue. For the shower scene, she took a trick from the ecdysiasts and attached a figure-8-shaped piece of flesh-colored adhesive moleskin from her tailbone to her pubic bone. Nonetheless, the shoot attracted as many memeber of the crews to the set’s overhead lighting structure as it would bear. While holding the pose of her dead draped belly-down over the edge of the tub, she felt the moleskin slowly peeling away under the shower, until she and the crew were staring at each other, as it were. ---

I’ve started watching Downton Abbey, and it struck me that in this exceptionally classy and well-mannered show, the opening shot of every episode is a dog’s ass. ---
