To further muddy the water, some schools (like mine) use the term “concentration” to refer to what most other schools call “minors”. You sometimes hear people saying things like “I’m a Bio major with a concentration in Dance”, which makes no sense unless you realize that around here a concentration is a minor and not a field of emphasis within a major.
