We’ve been thinking of the creative, punny ways of declaring an intention to vacate the premises. The classic being, “Make like a tree and leave.” Ones that made me laugh out loud (which doesn’t happen often): Make like a baby and head out. Make like a hippie and blow this joint. Not as funny, but clever: Making like Major Tom and coming home. Do you have any others? Old or new? Is this mundane enough? ---

On a similar note, in college we would use "I’m \_\_\_\_ like (name rhyming with \_\_\_\_\_\_). The only ones I remember are, “I’m starvin’ like Marvin” and the much better “I’m outta here like Vladimir”. That one was used universally when departing. ---
