Seein’ as how it’s beginning to look like I’m padding my post count, I’ll just make one (I hope) blanket offer to anyone who needs someone as an intermediary and doesn’t mind sending the money first before they’re renewed. I _think_ I’m trustworthy, but if not and you are so inclined, I could pay for, I mean _give_, references. 😃 And to anyone else who’s taken me up on my meager services… let’s just say that it’s been _me_ that’s been blessed during the whole process. [nervousness] OK, so I like it here, and I find I’m becoming pathetically addicted to the SDMB. I’m a just-finished-being-a-student and trying to find a job at the moment (as a lawyer, but don’t let that put you off! 😃 ) Anyways, I have no credit card, etc. etc. I would be delighted to send a Doper a money-order for the $AUS equivalent of the membership fee if they would whack it on their credit card or something for me. As far as I know, I’m trustworthy (or I’m prone to feelings of raging guilt, whichever you prefer). I think my email’s in my profile, but if it’s not, due to my CP ineptitude, please post in this thread and I’ll go into my CP again and fiddle with it. A very kind Doper paid my way last year. Thanks again, you know who you are. I still don’t have a credit card and I wish it to stay that way. I would love for someone to pay for me but they MUST let me send them either money (easiest if they’re in Ireland) or a little gift (Guinness coasters, a book, a surprise) as I really feel uncomfortable about someone paying for me as I can quite easily afford it. ---

I managed, through a lot of red tape, to set up a pay pal account and feed it $10 a year ago, for the sole reason of joining. The amount of effort involved was truly awful, so if anyone could take the trouble of sponsoring me, I’d be happy to go to my local exchange office, buy a $10 bill and stick in in an envelope with the hope that it doesn’t get lost in ordinary mail. Or I could buy you a pair of genuine, Swedish wooden butter knives and ship those instead. I take it no one would want me to ship some lutefish. ---
