–You know, that white stuff you put on before mascara so that you don’t have to stand there all day applying successive layers, trying to get your lashes to show up. The main problem I have with the brand I was using is that it seemed to have hardly any product in it. Do you know a brand that works well and lasts awhile? Thanks! ---

I never use any kind of lash primer. They’re Real (Benefit) Mascara is my go to awesome mascara though. One layer only for me. ---

I do believe that **Dangerosa** is a makeup maven. I hope she stops by because I’d like to know of a good one as well. ---

I’ve never used one. I like Maybelline’s waterproof Full n’ Soft. I have “regular” lashes, and they make them fuller and longer. And not brittle. I’m currently peeved because I can’t find the dark brown any more. ---

I used to use Shiseido’s now discontinued base when I wanted a more dramatic eye look. I hear the new formula is still considered one of the best, but it is still pricey. I would suggest trying the less expensive brands geared to the Asian market, if you want a fiber product to build up shorter or sparser lashes, like MISSHA or Kanebo. ---

I also recommend They’re Real - I have eyelashes where the last half is completely colourless and it works brilliantly. The only downside is that removal is slightly challenging (no matter how much I clean I still have a little residue in the morning). I have heard they’ve come out with a new remover recently which may fix that. But for now the results are worth it. ---

Try It Cosmetics TIGHTLINE Full Lash Black Mascara Primer. The brush is so thin, you can get it right up to the lashline and it finds the tiniest lashes. You can find it at [QVC.com](http://QVC.com) or at ULta. ---

When I really want to go all out I use the Tightline as a primer (you can use it all by itself too) and then I finish off with Hello Lashes (also by IT.) My wee, almost non-existant lashes look almost like falsies! ---

If you want to test a much less expensive drugstore alternative with a similar brush, you can try Maybelline Lash Discovery with Mini Brush. ---

Here is a [mini size](https://www.birchbox.com/shop/benefit-they-re-real-deluxe-mini)of the Benefit They’re Real for for $10.00. I don’t wear makeup every day anymore since I work from home, (hell I don’t even get out of my lounge clothes most days) so I can’t tell you how long a tube lasts with regular use. The regular size is $23 at Birchbox and Sephora. (Sephora has the mini for $10 also.) I don’t know what you wish to spend on a tube of mascara, but for me They’re Real is worth the cost. ---

L’Oréal Double Extend. It’s a 2-step mascara, primer + pigment. The brushes are fairly tight spirals. The primer goes on white and stays that way as it dries, which is also handy if you’re doing crazy makeup for something and need a clean base for neon green. 😃 The primer and mascara come on either end of the same tube, so you needn’t worry about running out of one before the other, or that the stuff will dry up before you can use it. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had a professional use anything more expensive than MAC on me, and that’s when I’m going on camera. Some of the nicest makeup products I’ve ever bought came from CVS.
