# Making a VCD

Is there any free software around that can actually burn a VCD for me?
I’ve got several applications that can make VCD-compatible MPEG files, but nothing that will actually create the file structure needed to burn a VCD so that my DVD player can read it.

IIRC, Nero can do it. In fact, of all the software that came with any of the dozen CD/DVD burners around here, only Sonique was lame enough not to have that option.
I don’t know about free, but if you only wanted to do a few, [VCDEasy](http://www.vcdeasy.org/modules.php?name=_Guides&id=Start) has a trial version that seems easy to use.
