I have the following problem, I just cant make any screenshots of movies that I play on my computer, neither from the windows media player nor quicktime, realplayer or vidomi. I tried the usual print screen and inserting into paint as well as several free/shareware screencapper that all only gave me a blank screen as result. Same happens when I try to make screenshots from my DVDs. Anyone knows a solution, or workaround for that problem.

P.S. It occurs me that this question could scrape on the border to copyright issues for said media, if thats a problem please close/delete the thread.

It’s been a while since I did this, but IIRC I stepped through the film frame by frame until I got one I wanted, then successfully copied it using Paintshop Pro. Sorry, can’t remember any more than that. I know I was never able to take a screen dump of a _moving_ film though.
