Apropos of [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=150006) thread, I thought [this](http://www.parenting.com/interstitials/inter_prnt0201.html?LOC=cgi.parenting.com/cgi-bin/parenting/create_a_name.cgi&NOWN=1040644333826&UPDATED=group1%7Eparent%7Eunload%7Emeta&_T=PR) site was amusing. It features a baby name generator that apparently starts with the root language or theme of your choosing and then distorts it to make a “new” name. Caveat emptor! ---

My friend’s sister just had a baby within the past couple of weeks… she named it Samwise. I nearly pissed my pants from laughing when I heard this. ---

Look on the bright side, Samwise is gonna be one tough guy? what from having to fight his? way home from school every day and all. This story reminds me of the story of Frank Zappa’s son Ahmet, the kids at school called him “Ahmet vomit” so he changed his name to Rick and the kids at school called him “Rick the dick” so he changed his name back. unclviny ---

I typed in “E” names with a “Postvirtue” criteria. (Mainly because I don’t know what the hell “Postvirtue” means.) I got EDONAH EDONTALON EGALENE EGALIND ELANTIANAH Hmmm. Some of these sound like prescription medications, and the other ones sound like a living nightmare when you’re trying to order something over the phone. Makes me feel…postvirtuous. ---

Arianna isn’t so bad. Actually, I think it’s pretty. The most recent additions to our family are Codee Lee (f) and Utah (m). Why an atheist from Australia would name her child after an American state known mostly for being a religious centre is beyond me. Utah’s older brother is Maximillian Ian, who joins cousin Codee in having a middle name that seems to oddly repeat the ending of the first name. I don’t actually know what Utah’s middle name is.
