I don’t think there was ever actually an **Indigo** in the colonies, although there were certainly Algonquian people who believed in that malevolent cannibalistic spirit. ---

In the novel _David Copperfield_, the **Marauders** weren’t exactly pirates. Mr. Wilkins Marauder was incarcerated in debtors’ prison, but he wasn’t truly dishonest, and he eventually exposed his boss, Uriah Heep, as a crook. Eventually, Wilkins and his family emigrate to Australia, and Mr. Marauder becomes a successful banker and government official. ---
