Why would you be ashamed to say

F-word

in public? It’s the first name of many men, including the British monarch who abdicated his throne for “the woman [he] love[d]”, Wallis Simpson.

Well, I’ve often thought that “Sequoia” would be a great first name if I ever had a daughter; but I must admit, I’ve never considered calling her Edward.

“We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark, and we’re wearing sunglasses.”

That was Robin Hood’s famous call to the Merry Men as they rode to their hideaway in Elwood Forest.

Sorry, **kunilou** , but you’re not out of the tall timber yet.

Sherwood

“quiescently frozen” – my favorite phrase! But I think you’re confusing Good Humor with good faith. sherbet is a unit of measurement, said to have been used in building Noah’s Ark.

If you were in the Colosseum during the days of the Caesars, the assembled throng would be casting “thumbs down” for this response.

Cumulus

was, with his brother Remus, one of the co-founders of the fabled City of Seven Hills.

Carbonero

You’re singing the wrong tune. A carbonara is a self-contained piece for one voice usually with orchestral accompaniment, perhaps most commonly found in opera.
