Resurrecting this because I just finished Gardens of the Moon and started Deadhouse Gates. So far, I love Erikson’s/Esslemont’s world, dark and gritty as it is. Second, I spoiled myself by reading Merneith’s spoiler about Shadowthrone and the Rope, but it’s not a huge spoiler and does explain a few things I’d wondered.
