Sands of Iwo Jima (covers two requirements - a war movie and has John Wayne) The Godfather Parts I and II (Brando, DeNiro, Caan, Duval, and Pacino all in the same movie) Diner (to calm the nerves a little after all the mayhem of the first two, but still with enough testosterone to maintain the edge) ---

In my house the Trilogy seems to usually be: Tombstone Gladiator The Longest Day Sometimes it’s replaced with: Sons of Katie Elder Uncle Buck Major League, Bull Durham or The Natural ---

If there’s one Mel Gibson movie that deserves a place in the ‘Guy Movie’ List, it has to be _ **The Road Warrior** _ It’s got post-apocalyptic weirdos and great car chases with a simple plot to hold them together. Next would be **Apocalypse Now** Followed by **The Blues Brothers** ---

I say: lose “All About Eve” and put in “Summer Stock” (Judy Garland doing “Get Happy”, and a duet with Gene Kelly where they do “You, Wonderful You!”, etc). Or would “A Star is Born” be better?
