At 58 years old, I find that I’ve begun to shrink. I was a hair shy of 6’8" tall when I was younger, now I’m closer to 6’7", so that’s how I listed myself. ---

Yeah, if you really want to know there are far better sources of information than a message board poll. Here’s the [CDC page on (US) body measurements](http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/bodymeas.htm). Open the PDF and go to Table 12 for the height of American adult men in inches. It includes both the overall mean (5’9.3") and a breakdown by race and age. ---

I’m 5’10", which I believe is just about average for Canadian men. Oddly, I often find myself staring over the tops of the heads of the majority of people around me on the bus or train. I used to think I was 5’10" and a half, aka 180cm, but I was apparently inaccurately measuring, perhaps due to poor posture. I am, in fact, just over 5’9", or 176cm. Though it’s been several years since even that measurement, I may be shrinking for all I know. ---
