I’ve been to Smell of America a couple of times and, other than by its size, was unimpressed. Their stores are the same stores one can find elsewhere; there are just more of them. ---

When I was a corporate chef I was headquartered at a restaurant at the mall. I loved working there, especially in the winter. I could grab anything I needed or wanted before heading home without making a side trip, and was able to park about ten feet from the door. I live about 10 minutes away, but havent set foot in it in the last 5 years though. ---

They do add rides though. They built a new coaster about 7 years ago (Timberland Twister) and added several more rides a couple years ago when they reopened as Nickelodeon Universe. The newest (Brain Surge) is about a year old. ---

Turns out shoppers WANT the same stores they can find elsewhere. ---

Sounds a lot like the [West Edmonton Mall](http://www.wem.ca/#/store-directory-maps). ISTR that at one time there were charter flights from Hong Kong specifically to go to the WEM. ---
