D’oh! :smack:

I feel like I should inlcude a link to Opal Cat’s thread about getting Hives, but I’m too lazy to look up up.

By god, you’re right.
Bee’s what?
Those damn killer apostrophes sting!
Coroner: bear foot
Reporter: bare foot
Coroner: bear foot
Reporter: bare foot
Both: Let’s call the whole thing off.
“O Death, where is thy sting?
…
Is that all you got?
…
Uh-oh.”
Yea Alice!
Great. Not a single thread of death can be posted here without the local hive mind putting in their jarful of puns. (Usually atrocious.)
No need to be waspish about it.
That is not a picture of a bear paw.
Then I found this:
http://www.lab.fws.gov/idnotes/IDG11_BearHumanFeet.pdf
I now have a new trivia fact to wow the women with.
Me too. What’s neat is that after reading that article, it’s now obvious to me that claws have been removed from the bear paw in the first image. I was initially wondering why the fingertips looked so weird. Now I know. It’s missing the final set of phalanges.
I think I saw that movie.
If the foot in question has been around a little while, the hair will fall off. It may also have been removed with the skin, either by skinning the bear in question or by scavengers, leaving only bones and ligaments.
When I was in high school, this happened when a friend’s dog dragged in what looked like a human foot  and turned out to be a bear’s hind paw. In this case it was more the size of an adult’s foot.
how dead is he?
Lord, he stingeth.
