I’m confused. You’re not pitting the people posting the threads, you’re not pitting that the threads exist, you’re pitting the fact that the threads are pointing out real things? Or that there are things for the threads to point out? What? By the way, what the **fuck** does RO mean? I keep seeing it, but no explanation. ---

I always thought RO meant Run Off, as in “this thread is a runoff from another thread,” meaning the subject is already in heated discussion, but this post would have been a tangential distraction which doesn’t really follow the course laid by the OP, so I’m starting a new thread. Either that, or RO as Run Off because the thread I’m starting is going to be really whiny, annoying and petty, so only read if you feel like sharing in the collective peevishness. Anyhoo, this OP is pitting seeing the subject matter of child abuse more often than he would like. Which means he’s pitting the OPs of those threads, but he’s not specifying them. Which can be interpreted as one or two tributaries removed from the OP of child abuse, so this thread is a Run Off. ---
