Something’s off with this story. It isn’t too much to speculate that the defendant can’t yet give their side and that it’s pretty wild. I’ve been to a lot of factories, some are terrifying, but I feel very comfortable assuming a Canadian Coca Cola bottling contractor is as safe as they come. There’s no appetite for deferred maintenance at these places for production interruption reasons but nothing gets higher priority than safety stuff.
