OTOH he’s suing them for like 10x his actual losses; there’s no way he booked $34,000 worth of tours, hotels, and meals. I’d tell him to go fuck himself.
Bear in mind that most things are more expensive in Europe. In the UK, for many goods you’d pay approximately the same price in pounds as you would in the US in dollars despite the 1:1.7 exchange rate. Plus, if he was flying first class it’s certainly possible that he booked a luxurious villa, rented a Rolls, and so on. Maybe a private tour guide.
People like that don’t call the airlines for tickets. Maybe he should sue the butler.
