I’ve never been called, but I wouldn’t mind. There are three, count 'em three, courts within very close walking distance of my office: Superior, Family and Federal. Superior is right across the street and it and Family are closer to where I park than my office is. Federal is across a river and a street from my office - I usually walk further to pick up lunch.
I have a sister-in-law who can be a little overbearing so I don’t dislike her exactly, but I don’t hate it when she’s inconvenienced, let me put it that way. She lives in Long Island and got jury duty in Brooklyn. I don’t even know if she’d ever been to Brooklyn. I wasn’t unwilling to share wih her the facts stated above .
