Except that, presumably, he’s the sort of guy who will think nothing of having unprotected sex whenever he feels like it in the future. ---

That may as well be, but I think that we can take a small measure of comfort in knowing that this guy has been in the news, his photo has been shown to the public ([here, for instance](http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/10649303.Rapist_may_have_caught_HIV_from_his_victim/)), and his name has been made known. There is therefore a non-zero chance that, in the future, he may be recognized before something happens. ---

Isn’t it supposed to be pretty highly unlikely for a man to get HIV from PIV sex? ---
