Loved the new episode! Even with Mando’s awful tactical choices (maybe stick around the prime target you’re defending?). Fett was great, even if I’m not sure if I buy that he’s now super-honorable. Maybe he’s got a betrayal in his back pocket for later. ---

That’s awesome, and so very appropriate. So, he already has 4: - Himself - Boba Fett - Fennec Shand - Cara Dune Since he went back to Nevarro to get Cara, we can probably assume that Greef Karga will come along, as well. So, that’s five. And, he’s asked Cara to help him locate Mayfeld, so that’s six. Other possibilities: - Bo-Katan Kryze - Cobb Vanth - Ahsoka Tano Too bad that IG-11 and Kuiil are dead. ---

Bo Katan wouldn’t come alone, she’d have henchmen and women. Greef Karga is not really a warrior, he’s fought out of necessity so far so I doubt he’s in either. My guess is Ahsoka and Space Marshall Olyphant. ---

I don’t think the 7 Ronin are complete. I think we have 6 of the 7 identified (in order of first appearance in the show): - Din Djarin - Cara Dune - Fennec Shand - Migs Mayfeld - Cobb Vanth - Boba Fett - ??? (probably get this one in the next episode - my guess is it’s the Jedi who responds to the call - maybe Bridger, but maybe it’s Ahsoka) But I do think we’ll see Bo-Katan Kryze and Ahsoka (if she’s not in the main crew) again in a support role during the battle for Grogu. Just how much room does _Slave I_ have in it anyway? I always thought it was relatively small. ---

I was blown away by how good that ~30 minutes was. Best Star Wars since the Vader hallway scene in Rogue One. ---

Anything other than the films and TV series (and maybe some of the recent books and comics) aren’t technically canon anymore, even if they were licensed previously by Lucasfilm; that likely includes that illustration (which I think comes from a picture book of the layouts of various SW ships). A number of Expanded Universe sources that have described _Slave I_ have mentioned that it’s not roomy, but as we have never seen any of the interior but the cockpit, how many passengers it can carry is still subject to change until it gets canonized by a live-action apperance. In this case, I suspect that it can carry as many people as the writers need it to carry. 😉 ---

They don’t need to all cram into the same ship. Cara Dune has her own, as will Bo-Katan. ---

My guess is that the season will end with a cliffhanger, ESB style. Grogu will still be in the hands of the Empire and we will have to wait until the end of the Season 3 premiere to get a resolution. Here’s my guesses. Chapter 15. Mando gathers the rescue crew. Chapter 16. 1st half the rescue mission. Chapter 17. 2nd half of the rescue mission. The mission is likely to be successful but with the strong possibility that Grogu has taken a turn towards the dark side in the interim. Season 3 can then be about fixing whatever damage the Empire inflicted. ---

Din was willing to take off his helmet when the mission called for it, so it seems that Bo-Katan, Boba Fett, and Bill Burr are rubbing off on him and broadening his understanding of The Way. He did a pretty good job communicating with his facial expressions how uncomfortable he was. It occurred to me to wonder why he bothers with the mustache - it’s clearly not a style thing since nobody’s meant to see it, and I can’t imagine it’d have a cultural purpose since if anything having facial hair would be an impediment to wearing a helmet all the time. Why not just go clean-shaven? (Yes, I know the real reason is that Pedro Pascal probably didn’t want to shave it off for a role where he almost never has to show his face anyway, but this is Star Wars we’re talking about, so in six months there’ll probably be a tie-in novel about the story of how Paz Vizsla taught him to shave.) I also loved that Din’s taunt to Gideon at the end was word-for-word what Gideon told him in season 1. ---
