IMO the Stormy case is by far the weakest and least significant (compared to the GA voting fraud case, the classified documents case, and the Jan 6th case). So it’s weird if it’s the first to actually get an indictment. ---

It shouldn’t be that hard a case to prosecute; his co-conspirator, Michael Cohen, was already convicted and spent time in jail for this crime. ETA: Wasn’t Cohen’s prosecution where we got the reference to Trump as “Individual One”? ---

I’ll actually be really happy if the first indictment to come down is the one for hush money being paid out after fucking a porn star. Just nicely reinforces what a lecherous asshole the evangelicals tied their pony to. I mean, the party of “family values” and “God Bless America” supports the first ex president to be criminally indicted? And it’s because he fucked a pornstar while his wife was at home with their newborn? Almost poetic. Sure it’s potentially the weakest case, but it’s also the biggest PR nightmare for the GOP I think. ---

Personally, I’d like to see Trump indicted and convicted for all of his blatant felonies. The campaign finance, the espionage, especially the sedition, the conspiracy to commit treason… but also the tax evasion, the fraud, heck, including the Misrepresentation of National Weather Service Data. ---

The Georgia State legislature is working to pass a bill that will enable them to reach into any county prosecutor’s office and replace them for being “soft on crime.” Meaning anyone prosecutor who is going/might go after someone on the protected team, such as Trump. Cohen wasn’t prosecuted, he entered into a plea agreement. I’d forgotten that. Hard to keep track of all the Trump & Cohort criming. Still, if I remember right, it was on the strength of the documents in the case that Cohen decided to enter a plea, along with his wish to not involve his family in a lengthy trial. ---
