I’m betting that the SCROTUS will allow the sentencing to go forward while everything is on appeal, because they can keep kicking the can back and forth, while preserving their “independence” and good image to the extent they _have_ one anymore. That says nothing to their final judgement once all the appeals and limited immunity BS reach them through the normal means though. IE since THEY cannot be effectively impeached, they’ll keep reminding Trump that unlike the legislature that he can get primaried on a whim, that they need to get _their_ needs met as well. ---

My implication is exactly what @enipla suggested, but I’d also indicate a squashing of any efforts to do “little” things like legislature passing laws requiring an enforceable code of ethics for said SCOTUS. Not that it’s likely going to need a presidential veto with the legislature at the current state, or even likely in 2026… ---
