Just a reminder that trying to interfere into an ongoing criminal investigation is Obstruction of Justice. When someone says the murder rate is "nearly three times lower”, I take that as meaning that we can nearly say that the murder rate is 3 times lower, but not quite. So e.g. if New York’s murder rate was 1.6. But no, the NYC murder rate is simply _less than_ a third of Columbus’. Which, to me at least, is the unambiguous way to state it. Or is it just me? ---
