"Man's" voice Vs Man-made

Wait a minute, Alexander Graham Bell’s brother was a dead sheep?

How you came up with this Fish is beyond me, even humor has to have ordered thought in it:rolleyes:

Gees, you think harp music you think, beautiful dream-like music… this sample sounds like a mic that squealing with the dying resonation of band instruments in the background… make it STOP :smack: stop:smack:stop:smack: … I’m also reminded of my Mickey Mouse synthesizer when I was 5 or 6… it was before processors were available for such instruments so the batteries would actually run a fan inside it and the notes i suppose caught the air at different angles to make different notes happen… I recall using it more to air-condition my face than make music with it… :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think modern science would have to try very hard to top this harp thingy… it’s no wonder I haven’t heard of it before…

I’d be more than happy to let this thread go the way of the dinosaur, but I was hoping you might still back back with me Chronos; any progress on the operatic, physics professor… I did some reading a some days back about the previosly mentioned James Burke and didn’t see Opera in his list of accomplishments no physics, but still a fairly interesting fella… I just don’t think this one fits the bill… so I’m back hanging out with the questions marks again…

:o <Chro-nossss!! …

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten… But I’m trying to track down a colloquium speaker from a few years ago, here, and we have one every week. I may not be able to dig up the name, unfortunately.

I think it would be better to compare to the reeds on an Oboe or Basson because those have double reeds which more closely resemble the vocal cords.

Should have been “Bassoon”. :smack:

:frowning: …well, I do appreciate your help regardless of the outcome, sorry for pushing.
