# Marc Laidlaw just released his synopsis for Half-life 2 Episode 3

Marc Laidlaw, if you’re not aware, was the lead writer for the Half-Life series and left Valve last year. It’s written in a form of a letter where Gordon Freeman describes what happened after the death Eli Vance. I think we can all agree that Episode 3 is dead in the water at this point and this is the only conclusion to the story we’re likely to get.
