Happy: Since I probably won’t be posting from Thursday through Sunday, I’d like to make my quarterfinal picks in advance. If you prefer not to count these choices, however, I understand.
Pool A: Can’t Buy Me Love is my favorite to make it to the Final Four. If Twist and Shout wins this round, however, I prefer it to either of the songs in the bottom half of the bracket.
Pool B: Ticket to Ride deserves a ticket to the finals. If Help! advances, take it to beat We Can Work It Out, but to lose to Norwegian Wood.
Pool C: Penny Lane over either of the other songs in the bracket, but Hey Jude to lose to the Walrus-Day winner.
Pool D: The questionable entrants are all gone, and this is now the most evenly matched quarter of the field. Let It Be is a slim overall favorite, followed by (in order) Come Together, Get Back, and the still-worthy Here Comes the Sun.
