Part 4 of [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=459680) (rules are available there). Sadly, my personal favorite, Nightswimming, bit the dust. But I have to go with the will of the people, even when they’re wrong. Interestingly, only one of the final 8 songs left is from their post-I.R.S. years. This makes me happy. Here’s the final eight: A Radio Free Europe **VS.** What’s The Frequency, Kenneth? Pilgrimage **VS.** Driver 8 B (Don’t Go Back To) Rockville **VS.** Fall On Me Feeling Gravitys Pull **VS.** It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) This round will close on Sunday, March 21 at 3:00pm. ---

A Radio Free Europe Pilgrimage \<-----GOD this one’s close. B Fall On Me Feeling Gravitys Pull . . .I still think there should be at least ONE song from Automatic on here, as I personally think every song on that album (except “Everybody Hurts”) is _better_ than “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” . . ::grumbles:: ---

Radio Free Europe Pilgrimage (Don’t Go Back To) Rockville It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) And yeah, “Nightswimming” is an excellent song (though I prefer “Sweetness Follows” from the same album). But ITEotWaWKI is an excellent song and an iconic anthem. “Nightswimming” losing to “Stand” or “Shiny Happy People” would be painful; a quiet, intimate, not-that-well-known song losing to the first song most people think of when you say “R.E.M.” isn’t unexpected. ---
