In Michigan you could vote for “Uncommitted” in the Republican primary.
I’m a Dem who crossed over in the Michigan primary (Hillary and Bernie being equally palatable to me) and voted for Kasich. But my motivation was specifically anti-Trump. So saying there are no non-Trump votes is not quite accurate.
Given reports of how much people are crossing over there may be quite a lot of them.
Yeah, I think if I were Ryan I’d stay out of it.
Romney has much less to lose. Granted, I think Romney would lose the election, since I think any convention shenanigans would doom the party that cycle, but I don’t think Romney would destroy the party. I think handing the nomination to, say, Rubio might make it explode entirely.
But, in all honesty, this election is showing me to be very very ignorant.
FWIW, I did likewise: voting against Trump in the primary, while expecting to vote Dem in the general.
I don’t recall seeing a candidate with such a depressing air about him as Rubio these past few days. He looks like a guy strapped in the electric chair waiting for the current. Absolutely he knows that he’s going to get beaten badly in his own state and absolutely he knows he’ll be out very shortly.
The latest polls have him down to *third *in Florida.
He’s never had as depressing an air about him as Jeb the Joyous Tortoise, though.
Poor Jeb, it only took like two weeks to forget all about him.
Jeb who?
At least he never had to sadly ask his audience to clap after an applause line.
Jeb?
It isn’t just his campaign that’s ending tomorrow, it’s his political career. It looks like he won’t even be the top-scoring Cuban in his home state of Florida, behind a Canadian-Texan immigrant one.
Not these guys, surely?
¿Jeb?
Let’s dispel with the fiction that we don’t know which Jeb is being discussed; we know exactly which Jeb is being discussed.

I thought it was Zoidberg!
Last chance I got to use my own photoshop work.
Was it ¡¿Marco?! who called Trump a pathological liar? If so, Kettle … Black: Rubio is blaming Obama and “the Left” for the violence at Trump rallies.(*)
Trump is accused of lying and having a filthy mouth. I think ¡¿Marco?! is also a liar with a filthy mouth.
(* - I see Ted Cruz made the same charge. What, did they both watch the same episode of Rush Limbaugh?)
I thought Florida was his stome hate, and he was a savored fun. Perhaps he’s lucky ¡¿Jeb?! dropped out or he’d be fourth.
Yes, Scott Pelley really did lead tonight’s CBS News with “Tomorrow could be ‘Goodbye, Rubio’ Tuesday”.
Forgive him, Walter.
It’s over. He’s giving his final 2nd place victory speech and he’s talking about the campaign in the past tense.
Yep. This is a suspension speech.
